About Darren Newhart

Darren Newhart, a south Florida native, is the son of a firefighter and a court reporter. He grew up in West Palm Beach and spent most of his teen years on boats. Darren loves fishing and worked countless hours as a mate on sportfishing boats. Darren loved the challenge of fishing and the opportunity to work alongside clients and crew.  

After graduating from college at the University of North Florida, Darren returned to work on boats, where he had success with clients and in big tournaments. Although fishing is one of his passions, he felt called to do something that would make a difference in the lives of hard-working people like his parents. So after 3 years back on the boat, he enrolled in law school at St. Thomas University. 

Darren knew about the legal profession from his mother's years as a court reporter. In law school, he took a particular interest in consumer protection, and he was fortunate to work alongside an attorney with this expertise in his first job after law school. After years of working together, Darren founded Newhart Legal, a firm specializing in protecting consumers. 

Newhart Legal has built a reputation with consumer protection cases and protecting individual rights with debt collectors and credit reporting agencies.
